May 2025 – Present
IT Support (part-time), Bernstein Center Freiburg
I work as a part-time IT support staff at the Bernstein Center Freiburg, where I manage the IT infrastructure and provide technical support to researchers and staff. This role involves setting up and maintaining PC pools, managing user accounts, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. I also provide support for various software applications used in research and education, helping to resolve technical issues and improve the overall user experience.

Scooper Pair, YouTube
Owner and content creator for the YouTube channel Scooper Pair, where Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) Physics problems are discussed.

Started as a project during the COVID-19 pandemic to help students prepare for the Kerala SET exam, the channel grew to over 2,300 subscribers, with 65 videos, passing the threshold for YouTube monetization. The channel focused on solving previous years’ SET Physics problems, providing detailed explanations and insights into the subject matter.

Our team of five educators started by rigorously analyzing the syllabus and question papers of the previous ten years, identifying key topics and frequently asked questions. We then created a structured plan to cover these topics through video tutorials, ensuring that students had access to high-quality educational content.

The channel also featured discussions on important concepts in physics, helping students build a strong foundation in the subject. We also occasionally released Shorts (short videos) which served as quick revision tools for students, covering important concepts and problem-solving techniques in a concise format.

Scooper Pair had an official community on Telegram with over 300 members, where students could discuss problems, share resources, and seek help from each other. Currently the channel is inactive, but the content remains available for students to access and learn from, with the channel crossing 100,000 views.

To help students prepare for the exams, we also released mini-tests in the same format as the original exam, where over 50 students participated for a live online test. These tests were designed to simulate the exam experience, helping students practice under timed conditions and improve their problem-solving skills. The platform SpeedExam was used to conduct these tests, which allowed to get specific analytics on the results and ranking of the participants.
I managed the channel, including organizing content, coordinating with other educators, and creating educational videos. I handled all the post-production work, including video editing (using Kdenlive), thumbnail design (using Inkscape), and channel management in YouTube Studio.

October 2020 – October 2022
Subject Expert, Chegg India
Worked as a part-time subject expert in Physics on the online platform Chegg. Developed and published pedagogically sound solutions for over 100 physics problems in the upper grades, complemented with detailed explanations and diagrams created using Inkscape. This role involved creating high-quality educational content that adhered to Chegg’s standards for clarity and accuracy, helping students understand complex physics concepts.

Co-ordinator, Laboratory Manual Updation Project
Volunteered to update the laboratory manuals at the Physics department of RIEM, co-ordinating the digitalization of these documents to LaTeX, updating the information and appending with new illustrations using Inkscape.

July 2020
Higher Secondary Teacher (Intern), MNKM HSS
Completed a three-week teaching internship (online) as part of the M.Sc.Ed. program at MNK Higher Secondary School, Palakkad, Kerala. I conducted online physics classes for class XII students on the topic “Magnetic Effect of Electric Current”, covering the basics of electromagnetism, including Ampere’s law, Biot-Savart law, and applications of electromagnets. The internship posed several challenges due to the online format limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it provided valuable experience in adapting teaching methods to an online environment. I also developPned assessment materials to evaluate student understanding and progress.
An additional activity that I volunteered for during this internship was the design of the internship record document for the M.Sc.Ed. program, which involved creating a structured format for documenting the internship experience, including lesson plans, teaching reflections, and student assessments. This document was later used by other interns in the program, and is still being used at Regional Institute of Education Mysore.

July 2019 – March 2020
Part-time Faculty, Feathers Study Center
Worked as a part time Physics teacher for class XI and XII students at Feathers Study Center Mysore. In this role, I taught Kinematics, Fundamentals of Fluid Dynamics and Nuclear Physics to students preparing for the JEE and NEET exams. Due to the smaller class size, I was able to provide personalized attention to each student, helping them grasp complex concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. The role also gave me the opportunity to develop evaluation materials and conduct assessments to gauge student understanding and progress. Additionally, I also got the opportunity to teach in affiliated schools, where I taught Physics to students in classes XI and XII, further enhancing my teaching skills and experience in a professional educational setting.
April 2018 – April 2019
Part-time Teacher, BASE Educational Services
Worked as a part-time math teacher in the Science and Technology Foundation (Classes VIII to X) at BASE Educational Services. This role involved teaching mathematics to students in the Foundations in Science and Technology (FSnT) program, which is designed to provide a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving skills through a hands-on, inquiry-based approach. In this role, I tried multiple innovative teaching methods, including interactive problem-solving sessions, group discussions and ICT-based instruction using GeoGebra, which proved to be highly effective in engaging students and enhancing their understanding of mathematical concepts.
July – August 2018
Teacher (Intern), JNV Bangalore
Completion of a 40-day internship as a teacher (secondary school science and mathematics) at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India. Developed and implemented 20 lessons each in Science and Mathematics, covering the basics of Algebra and Geometry (mathematics), along with the chapters on Motion, Time and Electricity (Science). In addition, I organized extracurricular activities, including a sky observation session, which provided students with hands-on experience in observing celestial objects and understanding their motion. The internship concluded with an assessment of student learning through a test, which helped evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching methods used during the internship.

Online Educator, Unacademy
Published an online course on “Work & Energy” (Physics) for secondary school students. This course served as a first introduction to the concepts of work and energy, following an intuitive approach to understanding these fundamental physics concepts. The syllabus was aligned with the NCERT curriculum for Class VIII, and the course was designed to be accessible to absolute beginners to these concepts.

President, Hi-Φ Science Club
Co-ordinated the Science Club activities at Regional Institute of Education Mysore during the academic year 2017–18. Organized various tutorials and workshops on topics such as “Introduction to GeoGebra”, “Powerful usage of the scientific calculator” and collaborated events with the SWAT Club and Astronomy Clubs of the institute.

Participated in the E-teaching training camp for Arts & Science teachers at Taralabalu Computer Center, Sirigere, India, as a Master Resource Person. Delivered tutorial sessions on GeoGebra and Inkscape to school teachers.

Chief Co-ordinator, Swatantra
Co-ordinated the first inter-college technological convention “Swatantra” at RIEM, a five-day techno-cultural event. Starting with a small team of 10 members, the event grew to include over 200 participants across different events, including workshops, competitions, and exhibitions. The event aimed to promote technological innovation and creativity among student-teachers and was a significant success, fostering a spirit of collaboration and learning within the educational community.
- Starting from the conception of the idea, I (along with the other co-ordinator, Navya Jose) facilitated all aspects of the event, including planning, organizing the committee-heads, and managing the logistics.
- I led the promotion of the event through social media and other channels, which helped to attract a diverse group of participants. This event marked the first time RIEM hosted a techno-cultural convention, and also an event that was fully organized by the student body, setting a precedent for future events at the institute.
- I also played a key role in raising funds for the event through sponsorships and donations, expanding the budget to over ₹50,000 (approximately €500) to support the various activities and initiatives during the event. Through optimized budget allocation, we were able to plan a wide range of activities and resources for the participants, including workshops, competitions, and exhibitions, enhancing the overall experience of the event.
Event Highlights:
- Prior to the event, our team organized a series of innovative promotional campaigns to generate interest and excitement among the student community. These campaigns included a flash mob, a DubSmash video competition (Dubsmash was one of the predessors of present-day TikTok), a tree-planting campaign and a selfie contest.
- The main event consisted of talks from various experts in the field. The talks included general topics like “Learning Life Cycle using ICT”, “The significance of Carbon Footprint” and “ICT in language learning”, as well as tutorials and workshops on specific tools like LaTeX, H5P and Sozi.
- Additionally, during the event, we organized game stalls where participants could engage in fun activities and win prizes, further enhancing the overall experience of the event.
- The five-day main event concluded with a TED-style talk competition “Speak Your Mind”, an inter-college event that provided a platform for students to express their ideas and opinions on various topics.
This event was a significant milestone in my organizational experience, showcasing my ability to lead and manage large-scale events effectively.
2015–2016 & 2016–2017
President, SWAT Club, RIEM
Co-ordinated ICT Club activities at Regional Institute of Education Mysore, including planning and running an ICT convention. See the section on Swatantra for more details on the convention.
- As part of the club activities, I organized workshops on LaTeX, Office tools and vector graphic programs (Inkscape, GIMP).
- Supported by a team of volunteers, I organized setting up the PC pools at the institute, including installing Ubuntu on the machines.
- I also organized a workshop on “Introduction to Python Programming” for the club members, which provided an overview of Python programming and its applications in various fields. The workshop was well-received, and many participants expressed interest in learning more about Python programming.
- A talk on “Save the Internet” which discussed net neutrality and its implications for internet freedom and access to information, had a huge impact on the community at the institute. This talk was organized when Facebook rolled out the Free Basics program in India, which was later banned by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) due to concerns about net neutrality and the potential for discrimination against certain websites and services.
